Chris is promoted from the position of Sales Director for BCG, which he has held for over three years. Chris's primary responsibility and key focus in his new role will be to develop the next phase of the BCG business strategy, based at BCG’s head office in Worcester.
Chris is widely experienced in sales and marketing and joined BCG in March 2005, since then he has totally restructured and refocused the sales management process, established an effective sales training academy and led the major re-branding campaign of Broughton Crangrove Galley Matrix as BCG last autumn.
He was also behind the idea for The Big Tour, the largest travelling showcase of suppliers and product, which first took to the road for the first time in 2007 - spreading the message of the BCG XL brand proposition to over 750 customers nationally. The Big Tour goes from strength to strength and the 2008 Tour will shortly be rolled out across venues up and down the country, building on last year’s successes. The result of BGC’s sales and marketing strategy review, overseen by Chris, is one coherent corporate image which is the envy of the competition.
Prior to joining BCG, Chris achieved profitable growth within three of the largest distribution businesses in the industry. He has a large breadth of experience across all facets of a distribution business and has over 10 years’ successful track record as a company director.
