Professional drug and alcohol interventionist, Steven Lodge, announces the release of his e-book, “Addiction Treatment & Recovery Guide”, which can be downloaded for free at ://.stevenlodgeinterventions.com. By offering this e-Book to the public, Lodge hopes to provide valuable information and assistance to the family and friends of those addicted to drugs and alcohol.
“I know from personal experience how devastating drugs and alcohol can be,” says Lodge. “I personally struggled with my own addiction to both drugs and alcohol. Thankfully, my family sought the help of an intervention specialist, which prompted me to finally start down the road of recovery. If it hadn’t been for their help and persistence, I am sure I would still be caught up in the death grip of drugs and alcohol to this day.”
Having experienced addiction firsthand, Lodge brings a valuable perspective when helping families perform an alcohol intervention. In addition, he has the practical knowledge necessary to perform an intervention. Prior to becoming an intervention specialist, he practiced civil litigation in the state of California for eight years. He also received his drug and alcohol counseling certificate from UCLA and completed internships at the Phoenix House and the Brotman Medical Center’s Exodus program in Los Angeles. As such, he has also developed a strong working knowledge and relationship with a number of rehabilitation centers throughout California.

“When selecting from the many intervention models available,” says Lodge, “I have to consider the individual patient and the family in order to determine which model is best. No matter which model I use, the goal is to present the intervention in a loving and caring manner while always remaining focused on obtaining treatment as well as helping the family recover from the experience addiction brings to the family.”
